This is what happens when Drum Workshop stops holding back on a Design Series run and lets a genuinely limited finish carry all the way through the kit. Pair the 16x22, 8x12 and 14x16 shell pack with the matching 14x7" snare and you've got a complete four-piece setup in the same Titanium Satin Matte Lacquer, built from the same maple, tuned with the same hardware philosophy. For gigging drummers and serious collectors who want their whole kit to read as one instrument, not four separate purchases.
The shell pack does the heavy lifting. 100% North American maple shells run 8-ply HVLT construction – alternating grain orientation that keeps overtones in check while pushing low-end response – across a 16x22" kick, 8x12" rack tom and 14x16" floor tom. STM Suspension Mounts isolate the rack tom from the shell for extra sustain, True-Pitch® tuning adds thread length for a wider range without slipping, and graduated triple-flange chrome hoops keep rim shots sharp across the whole kit.
The matching 14x7" snare rounds the kit out rather than sitting apart from it. Its shell steps up to 10-ply HVLT maple with the same alternating grain construction, wrapped in a dual-row 20-lug design for extra tuning stability under load. A MAG throw-off gets the wires engaged fast between songs, True-Tone wires add the crack a backbeat needs, and the deeper 7" shell keeps the low end full without losing snap.
Buy it as a pack and every shell, hoop and lug matches – no chasing down a snare later that's close but not quite right. It suits gigging drummers building a stage kit, session players after one cohesive sound, and collectors chasing a genuinely limited DW finish. Pop into Forestville or the City store for a play before you commit, or hit us on the SMS Dealphone if you've seen it cheaper elsewhere.
