ZOOM M3 MicTrak Stereo Shotgun Mic and On Camera Recorder

Professional filmmakers know that pristine audio can make or break their production, and the M3 MicTrak ensures you’ll never compromise on sound quality. This innovative on-camera stereo microphone and recorder utilises 32-bit float recording technology to capture every sonic detail without the risk of clipping. The beauty of this system lies in its simplicity – there’s no need to worry about setting gain levels, as the M3 automatically handles everything from intimate dialogue to expansive outdoor ambience with perfect results every time.

Built for the demands of professional film production, the M3 features a specially engineered shock mount that keeps your camera setup lightweight whilst minimising handling noise between takes. The microphone offers versatile recording modes including mono for dialogue capture, 90° stereo for accurate transparent recording, and 120° stereo for generous ambient sound capture. Additionally, the M3 automatically saves a backup Mid-Side RAW file, providing complete flexibility to adjust stereo width during post-production.

The M3’s connectivity options make it incredibly versatile for modern production workflows. Connect via the 3.5mm stereo output to your camera for backup recording, or use the USB-C port to connect to PC, Mac, iOS, or Android devices for streaming and recording applications. The included M3 Edit and Play software allows you to fine-tune stereo width and normalise files for seamless syncing and editing. With support for SDXC cards up to 1TB, 12-hour AA battery life, and a 3.5mm headphone output for real-time monitoring, the M3 is engineered to handle even the most demanding production schedules.
