ZOOM F1-SP Shotgun Microphone & Field Recorder Pack FXR101-SP

Professional filmmakers know that capturing pristine audio can make or break a production, and the Zoom F1 Field Recorder + Shotgun Mic rises to meet this challenge with remarkable precision. This compact powerhouse combines the renowned SGH-6 Shotgun Mic with the F1 recorder, creating an ultra-portable solution that doesn't compromise on quality. The SGH-6's hyper-directional pickup pattern ensures your subject's voice cuts through ambient noise, while its lightweight aluminium construction won't weigh down your rig during those crucial handheld shots.

Recording capabilities extend up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution, giving you the headroom needed for professional post-production work. The F1's dual recording function allows simultaneous capture to both your camera and a microSD card, providing a backup stereo file that can save your project when camera audio falls short. Setup couldn't be more straightforward - mount the system to your camera using the included SMF-1 shock mount, connect via the supplied 3.5mm cable, and you're ready to roll.

Practical features make the F1 a reliable companion in demanding shooting conditions. The monochromatic display remains clearly visible even in bright sunlight, showing essential information like levels, battery status, and low-cut filter settings. One-touch controls provide quick access to recording levels and limiter settings, while the built-in tone generator helps establish proper audio levels with your camera. The shock mount effectively isolates the microphone from handling noise and vibrations, ensuring clean recordings even during dynamic camera movements.

Power options include standard AAA batteries or the optional AD-17 adapter, while connectivity extends beyond basic recording through USB audio interface mode for direct computer recording. The F1 also functions as a card reader for easy file transfer, and sound markers assist with audio-video synchronisation during editing. This comprehensive feature set makes the F1-SP an indispensable tool for content creators who demand professional results without the bulk of traditional recording setups.
