The AC-3 Acoustic Creator stands as Zoom’s most comprehensive direct box solution, combining professional DI capabilities with an advanced effects generator, stereo outputs, and built-in compression. Building upon the proven foundation of the AC-2, this all-in-one acoustic toolkit features the same high-quality preamp and 3-band EQ, while adding nine carefully crafted effects including delay, chorus, and reverb with adjustable parameters for precise sound shaping.

At the heart of the AC-3 lies an intelligent preset system featuring 16 source guitar configurations covering everything from dreadnought and 12-string guitars to upright bass and nylon strings. Each preset can be matched with piezo or magnetic pickup selection, while 15 additional target guitar presets allow for even more precise tonal matching – such as pairing a Dreadnought source with a D-Eighteen target for Martin D-18 owners, or combining Square Shoulder source with Humming Bird target settings.

Live performance features include a single-knob compressor with LED indicator for smooth dynamic control, plus an anti-feedback button that automatically locates and eliminates problematic frequencies. The unit’s balanced XLR mono/stereo outputs with pre/post control connect seamlessly to PA systems, while dual ¼” outputs enable simultaneous connection to amps or audio interfaces. A ground/lift switch eliminates unwanted hum, and the Volume control automatically manages both input gain and output level for simplified operation.

Power options include up to three hours of continuous operation from two AA batteries, or plug-in power via the included Zoom AD-16 AC adapter.
