Zildjian K Constantinople 20" Medium Ride Cymbal

Zildjian's K Constantinople 20" Medium Ride delivers the dark, complex tone that's defined the K series for decades. Hand–hammered from sheet bronze, this cymbal bridges orchestral refinement with modern drumming demands. The medium weight sits between delicate articulation and projection, making it responsive to both stick definition and swelling dynamics across live and studio contexts.

The K Constantinople construction emphasises a pronounced bell with rapid decay characteristics, allowing clean note separation during fast ride patterns. The cymbal's edge produces a controllable wash that builds without dominating the mix, whilst the bow responds with articulate pings under lighter playing. Zildjian's traditional hand–hammering technique creates subtle surface variations that contribute to the warm, vintage character—no two cymbals sound identical, which is precisely the draw for players seeking organic complexity.

Drummers working in jazz, fusion, and classical contexts gravitate toward this model for its ability to cut through without harshness. The 20" diameter offers sufficient mass for recording studios where cymbal bleed matters, yet remains nimble enough for intimate ensemble playing where nuance carries weight.
