Zildjian K Constantinople 16" Crash Cymbal

The Zildjian K Constantinople 16" Crash delivers the warm, dark tonality that defines Zildjian’s most revered cymbal line. Hand-hammered and lathed in the traditional manner, this crash sits at the crossroads between orchestral sophistication and modern drumming articulation. The K Constantinople series carries decades of concert-hall pedigree, translating that refined character into a cymbal that responds with nuance across dynamic ranges.

Built from B20 bronze—80% copper, 20% tin—the 16" crash produces a complex, multi-layered wash with a defined bell that cuts through without harshness. The hand-hammered surface creates micro-irregularities that generate the signature dark, slightly dry character, whilst the traditional lathing enhances stick definition and decay control. Weight sits in the medium–heavy bracket, offering sufficient mass to sustain rides and crashes whilst remaining responsive to lighter touch dynamics. The result is a cymbal equally at home in jazz contexts, classical settings, and contemporary recordings where tonal character matters.
