The Zildjian FX 10″ Cymbal Stack pairs a bright, musical voicing with extensive customisation through the included Cymbolt® mount system. This two–cymbal configuration responds with immediate articulation across dynamic ranges, while tension adjustments let players dial in anything from splashy wash to raw, cutting attack. The mounting hardware enables quick voicing changes without disassembly, putting multiple tonal profiles within reach during setup or performance.
The Cymbolt® mount's adjustable tension directly affects sustain, spread and attack characteristics. Loosening the mount opens the sound into a washy, complex blend with extended decay. Tightening produces a shorter, more focused burst with pronounced stick definition. The 10″ diameter sits between the 8″ and 12″ options in the FX Stack range, offering balanced projection that cuts through dense mixes without overwhelming neighbouring cymbals. Each stack ships as a matched pair engineered to complement one another's frequency response when tensioned together.
While trap, industrial and fusion contexts have popularised stacked cymbal configurations, the FX Stack's voicing flexibility extends its application across drum kit and percussion setups. Players can isolate either cymbal for standalone use, combine multiple stack sizes, or layer the 10″ with splashes, chinas and EFX cymbals. The system encourages experimentation with non–traditional pairings, letting drummers build signature accent voices that respond consistently under both light touch and aggressive playing.
