Yamaha YDM505S YDM Series Dynamic Microphone, Black

Yamaha's YDM Series dynamic microphones represent a sophisticated fusion of decades-long musical technology expertise and precision engineering, bringing professional-grade audio capture to performers across all levels. These microphones feature a custom-designed cardioid capsule housed within a sleek metal body, ensuring crystal-clear audio reproduction that faithfully captures your sound. The advanced insulator technology utilises Yamaha's proprietary materials to significantly reduce handling noise and external vibrations, allowing performers to focus entirely on their craft without distraction.

Drawing inspiration from musical instrument design principles, the YDM Series showcases refined aesthetics that incorporate the flowing curves reminiscent of wind instruments. The grip features a distinctive silver ring accent and has been meticulously optimised through extensive prototype testing to guarantee comfortable handling during extended performances. This thoughtful design approach ensures both visual appeal and practical functionality for professional use.

The YDM505S model includes a convenient On/Off switch ideal for solo performances, complete with a switch lock mechanism that prevents accidental deactivation during shows. Recognising that performance mishaps can occur, replacement grilles are available separately to maintain your microphone's pristine appearance. Each microphone comes complete with a microphone holder, 5/8" to 3/8" threaded adapter, and protective carrying pouch for comprehensive performance readiness.
