The Yamaha TAS1 Element TransAcoustic guitar delivers onboard reverb and chorus effects without external gear, built on the strengths of Yamaha's first–generation TransAcoustic platform. The deeper concert cutaway body yields greater acoustic volume whilst optimised bracing produces richer harmonic content. Solid Sitka spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides generates authentic resonance, amplified by the SYSTEM70 TransAcoustic electronics and hi–fidelity signal chain.
The TAS1 ships with Elixir NANOWEB 80/20 Bronze Light strings (12–53 gauge) on a 650 mm scale length and 44 mm nut width, suitable for standard finger positioning. Controls include dedicated reverb and chorus knobs plus line out connectivity for mixing into audio interfaces or PA systems. A single AA battery (included) powers the onboard circuitry indefinitely during practice or live performance, with die–cast chrome tuning machines securing reliable pitch stability.
Players working across songwriting, rehearsal, or gigging benefit from the guitar's plug–and–play spatial effects and acoustic–first design philosophy—no pedalboard or external processor required. The Ultra Marine Gloss finish resists fingerprints and environmental degradation whilst maintaining tonal transparency through the mahogany neck and walnut fretboard. Hard bag protection ensures portable durability between venues.
