The Yamaha GC12C GC Series classical guitar brings together traditional craftsmanship and modern design to create an instrument that excels across both classical and contemporary musical styles. Built with a solid mahogany back and sides paired with a red cedar top, this guitar produces a distinctively bright and resonant tone that suits a wide range of playing techniques and musical genres.
Yamaha has refined the shape and design of the GC12C to provide enhanced volume and improved responsiveness, making it an excellent choice for both practice and performance. The shellac finish not only creates a stunning gloss appearance but also allows the wood to breathe naturally, contributing to the development of a mature and well-balanced tonal character over time.
Traditional construction methods feature prominently in this instrument, with kerfed linings attached using time-tested hide glue to ensure a secure connection between the top and sides. This approach promotes optimal vibration transfer and long-term durability. The guitar comes complete with a reinforced carrying bag, providing reliable protection during transport and storage while making it convenient to take your music anywhere.
