Drawing from the legendary craftsmanship of Yamaha's iconic 1960s "red label" guitars, the new FG Red Label folk guitars represent a masterful fusion of vintage aesthetics and contemporary innovation. These instruments feature a semi-gloss finish and premium components that authentically capture the timeless design elements that made the original red label series so revered amongst musicians.

The FGX5 showcases solid Mahogany back and sides paired with a premium solid Sitka Spruce top, treated using Yamaha's Acoustic Resonance Enhancement process to achieve genuine aged-wood tone and sustain. The innovative scalloped-bracing design ensures abundant volume projection, while the groundbreaking Atmosfeel three-way pickup system provides natural acoustic sound reproduction when amplified.

Crafted in Japan with meticulous attention to detail, this Traditional Western body dreadnought-style acoustic guitar comes complete with case included and features a Vintage Natural Gloss finish. The Japanese-made FGX5 produces full, punchy low-end response that suits both strumming and flatpicking techniques perfectly, while the Atmosfeel pickup system faithfully reproduces the guitar's authentic character for stage performance.
