This remarkable electronic drum kit features 10 built-in drum kits that blend authentic acoustic sounds with modern electronic effects, giving you access to professional-quality tones that respond to your every creative impulse. The DTX allows you to craft custom kits from its extensive sound library, ensuring you'll find the perfect voice for any musical style or personal preference.
What sets the DTX apart is its comprehensive training system, featuring 10 built-in functions designed specifically for electronic drums. The Pad Gate Function helps beginners develop proper technique gradually, while the Rhythm Gate Function builds the precise timing essential for solid drumming. Advanced features like the Fast Blast Function measure stroke speed, and the scoring system provides objective feedback on your progress, making practice sessions both productive and engaging.
The dedicated DTX402 Touch app for iOS and Android takes your training to the next level with its Challenge Mode, where you can play along with built-in tracks in a game-like format. Complete all stages and you'll earn an official drummer's certificate from Yamaha. The app's Editor function lets you customise drum kits on the go, while compatibility with the Rec'n'Share app means you can jam with your favourite songs and share performances instantly with friends and social media.
Despite its compact footprint, the DTX maintains the authentic feel of an acoustic kit through thoughtful design and premium components. All cymbals, snare, and toms are fully adjustable for position and angle, ensuring proper playing posture for drummers of all sizes. The kit includes Yamaha's professional-grade foot pedal and faithfully reproduces advanced techniques like cymbal chokes and rim shots, proving that size doesn't compromise on the essential drumming experience.
