This meticulously crafted microphone recreates the sonic character that defined countless hit records, featuring a custom all-brass CK12-style capsule, CineMag USA transformer, and fully discrete signal path. The WA-14 excels across diverse applications including intimate lead vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, bass, drums, percussion, strings, and orchestral material, providing the realism and thickness true to vintage microphones at an affordable price point.

At the heart of the WA-14 lies the WA-12-B-60V capsule, an all-brass, edge-terminated design that captures the smoothness, rich top end, and warm vintage sonics of the original CK12. Built using a variant CEK-12 back plate to overcome the manufacturing limitations of the original, this capsule features an all-brass construction with no teflon components and a 24k gold sputtered 6 micron NOS PET film diaphragm. The result is a remarkably consistent and reliable capsule that matches both the frequency response and tonal characteristics of the classic 1970s design.

Warm Audio recognised that developing an affordable, high-quality capsule would be their greatest challenge when creating their first microphone. After years of research and development driven by a passion for exceptional sound, they established their own capsule manufacturing line to provide customers with unprecedented quality and value. Each Warm Audio capsule is assembled in a clean-room environment within the same small facility, individually packaged in protective jewel cases, and undergoes rigorous visual inspection and electrical testing.
