Summoned from the deepest, darkest depths of Brian Wamplers imagination, the Cryptid Fuzz is an homage to the most iconic vintage fuzz circuits, all packed into one compact pedal. From smooth, dynamic sustain to aggressive, gritty distortion, the Cryptid Fuzz lets you sculpt a wide range of fuzz tones inspired by legends like the Fuzz Face, Tone Bender, and Big Muff. Whether you crave vintage warmth or modern edge, this highly versatile pedal delivers with ease.
Brian Wampler designed the Cryptid to retain the touch sensitivity and glassy cleans of classic fuzz circuits while adding enhanced tone-shaping capabilities. The Character control lets you transition between different fuzz styles, from compressed and saturated to open and dynamic. A 3-position Tight switch sculpts the low end, allowing anything from sub-sonic doom tones to tight, articulate distortion. The Chime toggle introduces extra harmonic presence, ensuring your fuzz cuts through the mix without unwanted harshness.
Built with Wamplers renowned attention to detail, the Cryptid Fuzz is highly responsive to guitar volume and tone adjustments, making it perfect for stacking with other pedals or dialling in unique fuzz textures. Whether youre chasing Hendrix-style cleans, thick Smashing Pumpkins sustain, or Jack Whites raw garage rock bite, the Cryptid has you covered.
