The VGA–5TPS archtop electric–acoustic guitar combines the rich tones of a flat top acoustic with stunning new finishes and an ultra–slim body design that prioritises comfort. Building on the compact foundation of the VGA–3PS, this model features extravagant new colours, enhanced cosmetics, and five–layered binding that creates a luxurious feel. The block inlays on the fingerboard work perfectly with the vibrant finishes to create a visually striking instrument.

At the heart of the VGA–5TPS lies the Super Capacitor Preamp System, providing rich and bright electric acoustic guitar sound with tone control that adapts to various playing styles. This innovative system offers around 10 consecutive hours of playing time from just a 15–minute charge via the mini–USB jack. The preamp and controls are mounted underneath the pickguard, allowing the top wood to resonate freely without interference from electronic components.

VOX’s proprietary patented hybrid bridge system combines laminated wood and aluminium construction with a specialised piezo pickup system. This design produces bright, fast attack with rich, defined sustains that rival flat–top acoustic guitars while significantly reducing feedback. The bridge allows for easy string height adjustments – something typically difficult with conventional acoustic guitars – and includes a removable string mute that eliminates the common piezo over–ring issue between bridge and tailpiece.

The preamp system enhances the acoustically rich signal while maintaining the organic feel of the tone, featuring a low–cut control to adjust low–end response for achieving various tones across different musical styles.
