Vox Bobcat S66 Sunburst [Seconds Stock]

The legendary VOX Bobcat returns with a vengeance, bringing the distinctive Italian craftsmanship of the mid-1960s into the modern era with the Bobcat S66. This semi-hollow body guitar maintains the historic design that made the original Bobcat and Lynx models so iconic, while incorporating significant improvements to playability, feedback control, and pickup performance. The result is a guitar that captures the glassy single-coil tones synonymous with the VOX sound, paired with a feel that contemporary guitarists will find irresistible.

At the heart of the Bobcat S66 are three single-coil pickups modelled after the original Italian-made units, but with enhanced voicing for superior performance. Each pickup features its own individual volume control, giving players unprecedented tonal flexibility to craft everything from aggressive, glassy iconic Vox tones to warmer, more mellow sounds. This diverse sonic palette, combined with the guitar's distinctive appearance, sets the Bobcat S66 apart from other semi-hollow instruments on the market.

The construction improvements are immediately apparent in the playability department. Unlike the original bolt-on neck design, the Bobcat S66 features a set neck joint that makes higher fret access effortless, while the fixed Tune-o-matic bridge provides optimal neck angle for comfortable playing. The semi-hollow body incorporates a weight-relieved Spruce centre block that not only increases sustain and dynamics but also resists feedback even at high volumes, solving one of the traditional challenges of semi-hollow guitars while keeping the instrument remarkably lightweight for gigging musicians.

Attention to detail extends to the hardware, with Grover® Sta-Tite™ tuning pegs specifically chosen to improve tuning stability and transfer string resonance effectively to the headstock. These premium tuners also minimise headstock weight, contributing to the guitar's amazingly balanced feel and ensuring consistent, clear sounds that complement the instrument's exceptional tonal capabilities.
