Vox Bobcat S66 Electric Guitar w/ Bigsby & Hardshell Case (Sapphire Blue)

The legendary VOX Bobcat returns with a vengeance, bringing the distinctive Italian craftsmanship of the mid–1960s into the modern era with the Bobcat S66. This semi–hollow body guitar maintains the historic design that made the original Bobcat and Lynx models so iconic, while incorporating significant improvements to playability, feedback control, and pickup performance that today's guitarists demand.

Three original–style single coil pickups, modelled after the Italian–made originals but with enhanced voicing, provide the glassy tones synonymous with the VOX sound. Each pickup features its own individual volume control, allowing players to craft everything from aggressive, crystalline VOX tones to warmer, more mellow sounds. The newest models come equipped with a beloved Bigsby vibrato tailpiece and are available in striking jet black and sapphire blue finishes.

Unlike the original bolt–on neck design, the Bobcat S66 utilises a set neck construction that dramatically improves access to higher frets, while the fixed Tune–o–matic bridge ensures optimal neck angle for enhanced playability. The semi–hollow body incorporates a weight–relieved Spruce centre block that increases sustain and dynamics whilst remaining highly resistant to feedback, even at substantial volume levels.

Specially selected tuning pegs improve tuning stability and transfer string resonance effectively to the headstock while minimising weight for exceptional balance. This thoughtful construction makes the guitar remarkably lightweight and ideal for live performance, whilst the centre block design allows for nuanced playing dynamics without the feedback issues typically associated with semi–hollow instruments.
