Vater VEP5AN Extended Play 5A Nylon Tip Drumsticks (Pair)

Vater's Extended Play™ Series represents a breakthrough in drumstick engineering, specifically designed to combat the most common problems that plague drummers' gear. These exceptionally durable sticks feature two innovative technologies: a pearl–coloured, specially formulated finish that shields the tip and shoulder areas from early chipping and cracking, plus the exclusive 3–inch Stick Shield™ positioned in the rimshot zone. This shield boasts impact resistance that's 8 times stronger than steel with maximum tensile strength, while the grip area maintains the same comfortable feel found across all Vater products.

The Extended Play™ sticks maintain the optimal balance and natural feel of traditional Vater hickory construction, but with significantly enhanced durability and superior resistance to rimshot fatigue and breakage. This combination ensures drummers can focus on their performance without worrying about premature stick failure during critical moments.

Founded officially in November 1991, Vater's roots stretch back decades to humble beginnings in the basement of Boston's legendary Jack's Drum Shop, where the family crafted bespoke drumsticks by hand. Today, operating from their Holbrook, Massachusetts headquarters, Vater produces hundreds of different models and has earned the trust of world–renowned artists including Chad Smith, Stewart Copeland, and Josh Freeze. Their mission remains straightforward: to manufacture the finest drumsticks and percussion accessories available anywhere in the world.
