Crafted for the discerning percussionist, these Vater Concert Ensemble Series mallets combine precision engineering with premium materials to create an exceptional playing experience. The oval-shaped design features hard rubber cores wrapped in 100% wool yarn or multi-ply cord, producing the rich, resonant tones that serious musicians demand. Each mallet is built with a 5/16" satin-finished birch handle, offering both durability and the smooth feel required for extended performance sessions.
The graduated head sizes and proportionate weights have been carefully calculated to provide effortless projection across the entire instrument range, whilst maintaining the speed and control necessary for complex passages. This particular model features a rattan construction with a hard 1 1/8" phenolic ball in black, making it ideal for a wide variety of percussion applications.
The Vater story began long before the company’s official establishment in November 1991, with the family’s drumstick crafting roots tracing back to the basement of Boston’s legendary Jack’s Drum Shop. Today, operating from their Holbrook, Massachusetts headquarters, Vater has built an impressive catalogue of hundreds of different models, earning the trust of world-renowned artists including Chad Smith, Stewart Copeland, and Josh Freeze. Their commitment remains unchanged: producing the finest drumsticks and percussion accessories available anywhere in the world.
