Vater officially launched in November 1991, though the family’s drumstick craftsmanship began much earlier in the basement of Boston’s legendary Jack’s Drum Shop, creating custom pieces for discerning musicians. From these humble beginnings, the company has grown into a respected manufacturer operating from their Holbrook, Massachusetts headquarters.
Today, Vater’s extensive catalogue spans hundreds of different models, earning the trust of world-class artists including Chad Smith, Stewart Copeland, and Josh Freeze. Their commitment remains unchanged: producing the finest drumsticks and percussion accessories available anywhere in the world.
