The UAD-2 Satellite USB DSP Accelerator brings professional-grade analog modelling to Windows-based PC users through a compact desktop unit that houses four powerful SHARC processors. This sleek USB 3.0 device provides the processing power needed to run extensive mixes loaded with acclaimed UAD plug-ins, offering improved performance and reduced latency compared to FireWire alternatives. The unit serves as an ideal introduction to the UAD ecosystem or as a DSP expansion for existing Apollo Twin USB interfaces.
Universal Audio’s engineering team meticulously recreates classic analog hardware through comprehensive physical modelling, rebuilding vintage gear component by component in the digital realm. This approach captures the exact behaviour and rich harmonic characteristics of legendary analog equipment, from boutique compressors and EQs to vintage reverbs and tape machines. The extensive UAD library features over 90 plug-ins developed in partnership with industry giants including Studer, Lexicon, Neve, Ampex, Marshall, Manley, SSL, and EMT.
The Core package includes the Analog Classics Plus bundle, featuring Legacy editions of the LA-2A Classic Audio Leveler, 1176 Classic Limiting Amplifiers, Pultec EQP-1A, Pultec Pro, Fairchild 670, and 610-B Tube Preamp plug-ins. Compatible with major DAWs including Pro Tools, Cubase, and Live, the UAD-2 Satellite USB integrates seamlessly into professional workflows and can be combined with other UAD-2 devices for expanded processing power. The unit includes a USB 3.0 SuperSpeed cable for immediate setup.
