Professional audio engineers and serious home recordists have trusted UAD Powered Plug-Ins for over 15 years, and the UAD-2 Satellite Thunderbolt represents the pinnacle of DSP acceleration technology. This powerhouse unit provides Mac and Windows 10 users with complete access to the world’s most detailed and authentic analogue emulation plug-ins, available exclusively on the UAD platform. The rich analogue character of award-winning UA-developed plug-ins includes exclusive titles from legendary brands like Neve, Fender, Lexicon, and Studer.

What sets UAD plug-ins apart is their uncompromising approach to hardware modelling. UA’s acclaimed engineers undertake intensive physical modelling of classic audio hardware, essentially rebuilding vintage analogue gear in the digital world, component by component. This meticulous process replicates the exact behaviour of the most prized analogue hardware in existence, including rare compressors and equalisers, vintage reverb processors and tape machines. The result is rich, three-dimensional sound and harmonics that bring authentic analogue warmth to your digital workflow.

The OCTO version features eight SHARC processors and next-generation Thunderbolt 3 connectivity, allowing you to run large professional mixes with confidence. It maintains backward compatibility with Thunderbolt 1 and 2 UA devices and integrates seamlessly alongside UAD-2 PCIe DSP Accelerator cards and Thunderbolt-equipped UA Audio Interfaces, including Arrow, Apollo Twin, and Apollo X interfaces. This scalable approach means you can expand your processing power as your studio grows, with access to over 100 plug-ins co-developed with the biggest brands in audio.
