Built specifically as an expansion solution for the Universal Audio Apollo x16D Thunderbolt audio interface, the E1X extends recording capabilities through Dante networking technology. Users can integrate up to 16 E1X preamp units with a single Apollo x16D interface, subject to available DSP resources, creating a highly scalable multi-channel recording system. This configuration allows the Apollo x16D’s existing 16 analog inputs to be expanded with an additional 16 high-quality preamp channels via Dante, providing a total of 32 inputs all controlled through Apollo’s Console software for comprehensive session management.
