Two notes Audio Engineering has packed an all-new Virtual Load Shaper and True Stereo DynIR™ Engine into this revised and expanded reactive loadbox. The Captor X Plus builds on the original Captor X platform with enhanced mic positioning across the stereo field and custom tonal response sculpting. This 8-ohm unit functions as a reactive load, tube amplifier attenuator, cabinet simulator, static IR loader, stereo expander and effects processor. The onboard 3-step attenuator allows players to drive their amplifiers into natural saturation while reducing speaker-level output, and a complete headphone monitoring path enables full-volume amplifier operation at zero acoustic volume. Designed for direct-to-PA performance, studio recording and silent practice, the unit handles the full output of valve amplifiers without requiring physical speaker cabinets.

The Virtual Load Shaper presents a range of preset and custom post-load impedance curves that alter the processed direct signal character, adding warmth, tightening low frequencies or emphasising high-end bite. The True Stereo DynIR™ engine provides independent control over two microphones or static impulse responses, with panning and routing across the stereo field. Thirty-two bundled DynIR virtual cabinets include 8 industry-standard microphones per cabinet, dual-mic configurations and more than 10,000 mic position options. DSP-powered tools include a semi-parametric multi-mode EQ, studio-grade Enhancer with thickness and brilliance controls, Body encoder for presence and fullness adjustment, and 12 reverb room modes with low-latency processing. Dual XLR outputs support Dual Mono operation with independent DynIR microphones, Mic and Output EQ, Enhancers and Reverbs per channel, simultaneous processed and dry signal capture, or full stereo cabinet simulation. The Twin Tracker function routes the mono amplifier signal to the left XLR output while generating a real-time virtual double-tracked performance on the right channel. Torpedo Remote software on phone, tablet or computer provides access to all editable parameters, with 128 preset storage locations and 6 quick-access hardware slots.
