Toca 7" Freestyle Coloursound Djembe (Yellow Metallic)

The Toca Freestyle Coloursound Djembe in yellow metallic is a 7" rope-tuned frame drum engineered for warmth and projection across both hand and stick techniques. Toca's Freestyle series emphasises tonal clarity and sustain through precisely shaped wooden shells paired with responsive synthetic heads, making the instrument suitable for studio recording, world music ensembles, and live performance contexts where articulation matters as much as depth.

The 7" size sits between entry–level and intermediate djembes, offering a more focused pitch than larger 10–12" models whilst retaining enough body for resonance in ensemble settings. The yellow metallic finish is cosmetic; the underlying construction relies on traditional rope tensioning, which allows players to adjust bearing edge contact and overall tone by hand without tools. This responsiveness to player preference makes the instrument forgiving for developing technique whilst rewarding experimentation with timbre shaping.
