Teenage Engineering TX6 Ultraportable Field Mixer

The TX–6 redefines what’s possible in portable audio production, cramming professional-grade mixing capabilities into a remarkably compact, battery-powered unit. This ultra-portable mixer doubles as a multi-channel audio interface, offering 6 stereo input channels with configurable knob layouts that put three-band EQ and custom controls right at your fingertips. Built to last with CNC aluminium construction and 2K moulding, the TX–6 combines rugged durability with sophisticated engineering designed specifically for portability.

Beyond its mixing capabilities, the TX–6 houses a complete creative toolkit including an internal synthesiser with 4 oscillator waveforms, 4 synthesised drum sounds, and a built-in sequencer with tempo sync functionality. Professional effects processing includes send effects like reverb, chorus and delay, plus creative options such as freeze, tape, filter and distortion. Each channel features three-band EQ and adjustable compression, while the rechargeable battery provides approximately 8 hours of operation with energy-efficient features like automatic display sleep and adjustable LED brightness.

Studio integration is seamless with 12-channel audio interface functionality over USB-C, connecting directly to any DAW for multitrack recording at 32-bit 48kHz quality. MFi compatibility enables iOS device connection, while BLE connectivity allows wireless control of other MIDI devices or external triggering of the internal synth and sequencer. The unit includes custom-made slimline cables with narrow profiles for simultaneous 6-channel use, plus a removable 6.35mm to 3.5mm adaptor for flexible output options. Turn it on its side and channel 1 becomes a crossfader for DJ-style mixing between channels 5 and 6, making the TX–6 a truly versatile tool for any audio application.
