Technics SL1200 MK7 Premium Direct Drive Turntable - Silver

The legendary Technics SL-1200 series has revolutionised DJ culture since 1972, and the SL-1210MK7 continues this legacy with groundbreaking coreless direct drive technology. This latest iteration eliminates the cogging issues that occasionally plagued earlier direct drive systems by removing the iron core from the stator, whilst maintaining the powerful torque and rotation accuracy that made the series famous. The optimised gap between the coreless stator and enhanced rotor magnets delivers performance matching the acclaimed SL-1200MK5, ensuring smooth operation and faithful sound reproduction from analogue records.

Advanced microcomputer-controlled motor technology responds precisely to demanding DJ techniques like scratching, with individually adjustable starting torque and brake speed settings. The reverse play function, activated by simultaneously pressing the speed selector and Start/Stop buttons, opens new creative possibilities for modern DJ performance styles. Speed options include 33-1/3, 45, and 78 rpm with digital pitch control offering 8%/16% adjustment range for accurate tempo matching.

The high-rigidity aluminium tonearm features gimbal suspension construction with precision bearings for exceptional tracking performance, even during aggressive scratching sessions. A redesigned push-type stylus illuminator uses high-brightness white LED technology for superior visibility in dark environments. The two-layer aluminium die-cast platter incorporates deadening rubber backing to eliminate unwanted resonance, whilst the chassis combines aluminium die-casting with ABS and glass fibre materials for outstanding vibration damping and howling resistance under high sound pressure conditions.
