Born from the legendary dUg Pinnick’s decades of sonic exploration, the DP-3X pedal captures the massive tone that originally required running both guitar and bass amps simultaneously alongside racks of effects. This super-compact adaptation of his Tech 21 Ultra Bass 1000 Signature head recreates the distinctive sound dUg developed back in the ‘80s, merging high-end distortion with powerful low-end bass response.

After personally beta-testing the DP-3X across European venues with different backlines each night, dUg proved this all-analog pedal could nail his immense tone regardless of the amp on stage. The streamlined design was born from his need for a practical solution when his full Tech 21 rig wasn’t feasible, yet still demanded the same sonic impact that has defined his signature sound.

Beyond achieving dUg’s unique tone, the DP-3X offers remarkable flexibility for traditional bass amp sounds. Mix mode engages Drive for distortion and Chunk for upper harmonics, while a Gain button adds extra distortion and compression. Clean/full-range mode disengages Drive and Chunk whilst keeping Comp and Gain active, alongside 3-band active EQ with switchable Mid and master Volume control.

Professional features include a chromatic tuner, headphone capability, and XLR Output for direct connection to PA or studio boards without sacrificing detail, warmth or responsiveness. This comprehensive package ensures the DP-3X performs equally well in live venues and recording environments.
