TC Electronic Spectracomp Bass Compressor Pedal

The Spectracomp bass compressor packs studio-grade multiband compression technology into an impossibly compact pedal that will revolutionise your bass tone. This ultra-intuitive compressor brings out every ounce of low-end punch and presence from your instrument in the most transparent and musical way possible. Simply switch it on and command the groove with confidence.

TC Electronic originally pioneered multiband bass compression in their acclaimed RH-series amplifiers, making smooth compression incredibly easy to dial in. The Spectracomp maintains that brilliant one-knob simplicity while featuring a significantly enhanced compression algorithm. You now have access to professional studio-quality compression in a stompbox so small there’s no excuse not to include it on your pedalboard.

At the heart of the Spectracomp lies the same premium MD3 dynamics engine found in TC Electronic’s legendary System 6000 studio production suite. This sophisticated algorithm has shaped the sound of countless hit records and major film productions. Unlike conventional single-band compressors, it applies precisely calibrated compression across high, mid and low frequencies separately, creating a unified and balanced tone where your low strings never overpower the highs – something impossible to achieve with traditional stompbox compression.

The result is tight, punchy attack with endless sustain that never compromises your bass’s natural low-end response. This advanced multiband approach ensures every frequency range is perfectly controlled, giving you the professional sound quality that has made the MD3 engine a studio standard.
