TC Electronic SCF Gold Stereo Chorus and Flanger Pedal

Back in 1976, a frustrated musician-engineer created what would become TC Electronic’s very first product – the legendary STEREO CHORUS FLANGER. Fed up with the noisy, substandard effect pedals flooding the market during the 70s, TC Electronic’s founder applied his engineering expertise to craft a pedal that met his own exacting standards. This groundbreaking effort gave birth to the SCF, marking the beginning of TC Electronic’s storied history in professional audio effects.

The original SCF quickly earned the nickname "The Sound of Silence" among guitarists worldwide, not for any lack of sonic character, but for its remarkable absence of unwanted noise. This exceptional signal-to-noise ratio became the pedal’s calling card, setting it apart from the competition and establishing a new benchmark for clean modulation effects. The reissued SCF GOLD maintains this pristine audio quality, staying completely faithful to its predecessor’s legendary performance standards.

Featuring three distinct modes – Chorus, Flanger, and Pitch Modulation – the SCF GOLD captures all the magical swirls, wobbling textures, and shimmering tones that made the original so revered. This faithful reissue pays proper tribute to the classic unit that has consistently surprised guitarists and redefined their understanding of what modulation effects can achieve, all with the strum of a single chord.
