Taylor T5z Classic Koa Acoustic-Electric Guitar

Taylor's T‐series guitars revolutionised the acoustic‐electric landscape by merging hollow‐body electric design principles with Taylor's innovative acoustic construction methods. The T5z Classic family now features three stunning new top wood options ‐ blackheart sassafras, Indian rosewood and Hawaiian koa ‐ paired with sapele bodies to create visually striking instruments that match their impressive tonal versatility.

The T5z offers a more compact body size compared to its larger T5 sibling, making it particularly appealing to electric guitar players. Key features include a 12‐inch fretboard radius (versus the T5's 15‐inch), jumbo frets for easier string bending, and enhanced feedback resistance when using high‐gain distortion. This hollowbody design maintains the dynamic range that spans from pristine acoustic tones to powerful electric sounds within a single instrument.

The guitar's sophisticated electronics system includes three pickups: a magnetic acoustic body sensor, a concealed neck humbucker, and a visible bridge humbucker. Combined with five‐way switching and onboard tone controls, players can seamlessly shift between shimmering acoustic textures and screaming electric tones. The T5z's dual compatibility with both electric and acoustic amplifiers provides exceptional performance flexibility across any musical style or venue.
