Taylor Premium 351 Thermex Ultra Guitar Picks Blue Swirl 6-Pack 1.25mm

Taylor's Premium 351 Thermex Ultra picks use an exclusive thermo-bonding process to produce a warmer, more articulate tone than standard plectrums. The Blue Swirl variant sits as the most popular option in the DarkTone Series, precision-cut to 1.25mm gauge in the classic 351 shape. Made in the USA, these picks enrich bass warmth while maintaining sparkle in the high end – a tonal balance that works across both acoustic and electric guitars without the common compromise of thin picks losing body or thick picks sounding harsh.

The Thermex material itself is the key differentiator here. Where conventional pick materials can sound sterile or overly bright, the thermo-bonding treatment delivers richness in the low frequencies alongside clear articulation in the treble range. At 1.25mm thickness, this gauge provides substantial control for strumming while remaining responsive enough for lead lines and melodic passages. Taylor recommends choosing the thickest pick that feels comfortable, then adjusting grip pressure rather than switching to thinner gauges for softer dynamics – a technique that preserves fuller tone at any volume. The 6-pack format ensures consistent performance across multiple guitars or gigs.
