The latest addition to the Taylor Gold Label Collection brings another flavor of warm, round, old-school acoustic tone that will change your expectations of how a Taylor can sound. A modified Grand Pacific round-shoulder dreadnought with a deeper body, the Gold Label 717e Blacktop combines Indian rosewood with torrefied Sitka spruce to produce a rich, powerful voice with robust low-end character and warmth that stretches across the frequency spectrum.
Inside, a fanned variant of our V-Class bracing architecture adds more volume and longer sustain, while our patented Action Control Neck incorporates a long-tenon neck joint to warm up the low-end resonance and offers unmatched adjustability and playing comfort, just turn the interior bolt to alter your action (string height) in seconds, without needing to remove the neck or detune the strings.
A striking black top finish treatment is complemented by cream-colored binding, rosette, pickguard, and Crest inlays, with a Honduran rosewood Curve Wing bridge and Indian rosewood bridge pins to round out the visual details. Dressed in a full-body gloss finish, the Gold Label 717e Blacktop features LR Baggs Element VTC electronics and includes a deluxe British Cocoa hardshell case.
