Taylor's Darktone Series Pick Tin rethinks guitar pick design from the ground up, moving beyond the functional considerations that have dominated player choice since 1922. This curated sampler pack includes nine picks spanning three distinct material families—Ivoroid, Thermex, and Taylex—each engineered to emphasise different portions of the frequency spectrum. Gauges range from 1.21mm to 1.5mm across two classic shapes: the familiar 351 teardrop and the smaller 346 and longer 651 profiles.

The collection features two Premium Ivoroid picks in 1.21mm (351 and 346 shapes), five Thermex picks in Ruby Swirl, Blue Swirl, Abalone, Black Onyx, and Tortoise Shell finishes (1.25mm to 1.5mm), plus two Taylex picks in 351 and 651 shapes at 1.25mm. Thermex materials are divided into Ultra and Pro variants, with the Pro offering a 1.5mm Tortoise Shell option. Each material delivers a distinct tonal signature, allowing players to discover sonic textures their guitars can produce that standard celluloid picks mask or homogenise.
