TASCAM's Sonicview series represents a revolutionary leap in digital mixing console design, combining cutting-edge technology with intuitive operation through fully customisable touch screens and user-definable controls. The Sonicview 16 features motorised channel faders arranged in two banks of eight, plus a motorised stereo fader for the main bus, with colour touch panels positioned above each bank for comprehensive parameter control. The VIEW user interface provides three distinct viewing modes, allowing independent configuration of each touch screen to monitor and adjust any combination of settings simultaneously.

At the heart of every Sonicview mixer lies exceptional audio performance, powered by a 54-bit float-point FPGA mixing engine that maintains ultra-low latency even in analogue-to-analogue connections. The system operates at continuous 32-bit/96 kHz sampling with 32-bit analogue-to-digital converters, whilst the float-point processing allows flexible level changes without compromising resolution. This no-compromise approach extends to connectivity, with built-in Dante networking, multi-channel USB audio interface capabilities, and comprehensive I/O options making integration seamless across touring, installed sound, recording, and broadcast applications.

The Sonicview 16 provides 16 channels with XLR mic/line inputs or 8 channels featuring both XLR mic inputs and balanced TRS line inputs, complemented by TRS insert points on two channels, dual stereo RCA aux inputs, and XLR talkback mic input. Each microphone input utilises TASCAM's Class 1 HDIA (High Definition Instrumentation Architecture) preamps�their finest mic preamp design to date. These instrumentation amplifiers feature exceptional noise characteristics, outstanding EIN, signal-to-noise ratio, distortion specifications, and frequency response, capable of handling signals up to +32 dBu for ample headroom during dynamic performances.
