The Portacapture X6 puts professional-grade audio recording in your hands with its groundbreaking 96 kHz/32-bit float technology that captures perfect audio even when levels are far from ideal. This innovative recorder features a large 2.4-inch colour touchscreen with intuitive app-like controls, making it simple to navigate settings and start recording immediately. The built-in dual microphones can switch between A-B and true X-Y patterns for dialogue or spatial music recording, while two XLR inputs with TASCAM's HDDA preamps provide ultra-low noise performance backed by over 50 years of audio expertise.
Video producers will appreciate the X6's workflow-focused design, complete with preset configurations and optional Bluetooth® timecode sync via the AK-BT1 adapter. The Launcher feature offers quick access to optimised settings for podcasts, music, interviews, field recording, and 6-track multitrack recording - each carefully tuned by TASCAM engineers for specific applications. You can record up to 6 tracks simultaneously (4 track + 2 mix) and use the unit as a 6-in/2-out USB audio interface for computer connectivity.
Built-in signal processing tools including compressor, limiter, high pass filter, EQ, and reverb add studio polish to your recordings without requiring additional software. The 32-bit float recording technology provides an extended dynamic range that handles everything from whisper-quiet dialogue to loud musical passages with ease.
