Tascam ML32D 32-Channel Analog/Dante Converter

The TASCAM ML-32D bridges the gap between traditional analogue audio equipment and modern Dante digital networks, offering professional audio engineers a streamlined solution for network integration. This specialised converter features four D-Sub inputs and four D-Sub outputs, designed specifically for inserting or extracting analogue audio signals into or out of Dante (Digital Audio Network Through Ethernet) systems using external breakout devices with Sub-D format connectors.

Recent firmware updates have expanded the ML-32D's capabilities significantly, with Dante module firmware V1.2.0.0 now supporting SMPTE ST-2110-30 for seamless IP transmission of PCM digital audio in broadcast applications. SMPTE ST-2110, developed by the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, represents a comprehensive video and audio IP network standard that separately handles video, audio, and ancillary signals. The ST-2110-30 specification enables high-precision synchronisation using PTP (IEEE1588-2008) and low-latency transmission, positioning it as a cornerstone protocol for next-generation broadcasting systems while reducing processing loads across network devices.
