The TASCAM DR-10L Pro portable recorder with clip-on microphone offers videographers a stealthy and reliable solution for capturing professional audio in challenging environments. This ultra-compact device combines the convenience of a lavalier microphone with a robust portable recorder, making it ideal for weddings, film shoots, and live events where traditional wireless systems might prove problematic. Weighing just 65 grams and fitting comfortably in your palm, the DR-10L Pro can be easily concealed during shoots whilst maintaining exceptional audio quality through its included TM-10L microphone.
The standout feature of the DR-10L Pro is its 32-bit float recording technology, which utilises dual ADCs to capture an enormous dynamic range without distortion or excessive noise. This innovative approach means you can record everything from whispers to screams with impeccable fidelity, eliminating the need to adjust input gain levels and allowing for faster setup with complete confidence in your audio capture. The system also supports wireless time code with Atomos products, making it perfectly suited for professional video production workflows.
Battery performance and wireless control capabilities make the DR-10L Pro particularly practical for extended recording sessions. Two AAA batteries provide up to 24.5 hours of operation, whilst files are automatically saved every 20 seconds to minimise data loss from unexpected power interruptions. With the optional AK-BT1 Bluetooth dongle, the free DR-10L Pro CONNECT app allows remote control of up to five units simultaneously from iOS, iPadOS, and Android devices, complete with real-time waveform monitoring and custom device naming for easy identification during complex shoots.
