Tascam DP006 Digital Portable 6Track Multitrack Recorder

Capture your musical inspiration the moment it strikes with the TASCAM DP-006 POCKETSTUDIO, a professional multi-track recorder designed specifically for songwriters on the move. This compact unit features two high-quality built-in condenser microphones modelled after TASCAM’s acclaimed DR series, allowing you to record vocals or acoustic guitar instantly without additional equipment or setup time. The included tripod mount provides versatile positioning options, whilst the optional BP-6AA external battery pack extends your recording sessions even further.

Built with Portastudio functionality at its core, the DP-006 strips away unnecessary complications to focus on what matters most – getting your ideas down quickly and professionally. Dedicated control knobs eliminate menu diving, making the recording process faster and more intuitive than ever. The unit records up to six tracks (2 mono tracks plus 2 mono/stereo switchable tracks) at CD quality 16-bit/44.1kHz resolution directly to widely available SD/SDHC cards, with a 2GB card included to get you started immediately.

Professional connectivity options include two 1/4" TS inputs for external microphones, electric-acoustic guitars, or line-level devices such as synthesisers, with INPUT A specifically designed for high-impedance instruments like electric guitars. The DP-006 supports WAV format file import/export in both mono and stereo configurations, enabling seamless integration with your DAW workflow. Simply import instrumental backing tracks, capture your ideas on location, then export everything back to your computer for further editing and production via USB2.0 or SD card reader.
