Professional connectivity options include SMPTE timecode, word clock, RS-422, parallel and Ethernet connections on the rear panel.

The DA-6400's modular I/O system accommodates various professional formats through dedicated interface cards. The IF-MA64/EX card provides both coaxial and optical MADI connections with redundant pass-through functionality that maintains signal flow even during power loss, making it perfect for critical backup recording scenarios. Additional interface options include the IF-MA64/BN coaxial MADI card, IF-DA64 Dante card, and IF-AE16 AES/EBU card, with dual card slots supporting multiple protocols simultaneously.
