This rugged, rackmounted audio adaptor features 16 front-panel XLR outputs that are internally bridged to dual D-Sub input connectors on the rear panel. The design provides a fast and efficient way to interface between stage boxes, FOH and monitor mixing consoles, audio over IP converters and other professional audio equipment.

Built as a companion piece for the TASCAM ML-16D and ML-32D Analog to Dante converters, the BO-16DX/OUT works alongside the BO-16DX/IN to create an elegant communication link between analogue and digital subsystems. The 25-pin D-sub connectors employ TASCAM pin assignments that comply with AES59-2012 standards, ensuring professional-grade compatibility across your audio setup.

Installation flexibility is a key strength of this breakout box, with the ability to mount in either of two 180-degree rotations to simplify cabling runs and prevent unnecessary twisting of D-Sub connector cables within the rack. The unit can face forward or backward by changing the direction of the rack-mount ears, and these ears can be removed entirely for tabletop use. With its compact depth of only 1.8" (45mm) behind the rackmount ears, the BO-16DX/OUT can be mounted in the back of a rack case or positioned at the front for patch bay applications. Approximately 13mm of space above each connector allows easy access to XLR socket release levers even when units are stacked.
