Tascam BO16DXIN XLR to D-Sub Input Adapter Breakout Box for ML-Series Dante Converters

Professional audio installations demand reliable connectivity solutions that can handle the rigours of live sound environments, and the Tascam BO-16DX/IN delivers exactly that. This rackmounted audio adaptor features 16 front-panel XLR inputs that are internally bridged to dual D-Sub output connectors on the rear panel, creating a fast and efficient interface between stage boxes, FOH and monitor mixing consoles, and audio over IP converters.

Built as a companion piece for the Tascam ML-16D and ML-32D Analog to Dante converters, the BO-16DX/IN works alongside the BO-16DX/OUT to establish an elegant communication link between analogue and digital subsystems. The unit’s versatile mounting options allow for installation in either of two 180-degree rotations, simplifying cabling runs and preventing unnecessary twisting of D-Sub connector cables within your rack setup.

The compact design includes a depth of only 1.8” (45mm) behind the rackmount ears, making it suitable for mounting in the back of a rack case or at the front for patch bay applications. Approximately half an inch (13mm) of space above each connector ensures easy access to XLR socket release levers when units are stacked, while the removable rackmount ears provide flexibility for tabletop use in various professional audio configurations.
