Tanglewood TJ4-CE Java Super Folk Acoustic Electric Guitar w/ Cutaway

Tanglewood's Java Super Folk is a cutaway acoustic–electric built for gigging and recording. The standout feature is its back: solid Amara Ebony with a contrasting Spalted Mango strip running down the centre, inspired by Italian marquetry work. This isn't cosmetic theatre–it's visible proof of build quality. The Super Folk body sits between dreadnought and parlour sizes, offering projection without the bulk, paired with a Solid Canadian Cedar top for tonal warmth and responsiveness across the frequency range.

Electronics come via a Fishman Presys EQ system, offering on–board tone shaping for live and studio use. The fingerboard uses Tech Wood, a stable substitute for traditional rosewood that holds intonation without seasonal fret sprout. Factory strung with D'Addario EXP16 phosphor bronze sets. Natural gloss finish protects the wood while keeping resonance uncompromised. The cutaway design opens access to upper frets for lead work, making this guitar practical for studio engineers layering acoustic parts and touring musicians who need single–guitar versatility.
