Tanglewood TB5-SE Dreadnought Acoustic Electric Guitar (Smokestack Satin)

Tanglewood's Blackbird TB5-SE is a sloped shoulder dreadnought built to project authority across both rehearsal and stage environments. Hand-selected genuine Mahogany tops deliver warm, full-bodied tone with articulate high-end clarity and pronounced midrange presence, whilst matching back and sides deepen sustain and natural resonance. The satin finish balances contemporary aesthetics with practical playability, letting the wood's character emerge without fuss.

Construction throughout employs all-Mahogany body work paired with an engineered wood fingerboard and phosphor bronze strings, anchoring the TB5-SE's tonal character. The Tanglewood Premium Plus EQ system handles amplified duties reliably, offering real-time tonal shaping for live performance, studio recording, and rehearsal scenarios without the learning curve that can plague onboard electronics. Shipping weight comes in at 2.65 kg, with body dimensions 1.05 m (length) by 0.47 m (width) and 0.15 m (height).

Whether tracking fingerstyle passages or anchoring rhythm sections, the TB5-SE handles both idioms without compromise. The dreadnought platform rewards aggressive strumming with responsive low-end punch whilst maintaining definition when dynamics pull back, making it a genuinely versatile workhorse for players serious about acoustic amplification without sacrificing tone.
