Tama THS1465S STAR 14x6.5 Star Mahogany Ltd. Snare Drum - Caramel Tineo Burst

The Tama STAR 14"x6.5" Mahogany Snare Drum in Caramel Tineo Burst stands as a testament to exceptional craftsmanship and sonic excellence. This limited edition instrument forms part of the prestigious STAR Factory Vault series, featuring a stunning outer–ply of rare Tineo wood sourced from the Andes Mountains. The 6mm/7ply thin shell construction incorporates Sound Focusing Rings that bring out mahogany's inherent richness and warmth with remarkable clarity.

The snare's acoustic design sets it apart from standard configurations, featuring three strategically placed air holes around the shell rather than the single hole found on other STAR drums. This unique ventilation system creates a brighter, drier sound with superior projection in all directions. The flat–bottomed snare bed design differs from traditional shapes, providing consistent contact with each snare coil for enhanced resonance and articulation.

Premium hardware complements the exceptional shell, including the Super Sensitive Hi–Carbon snappy snare system with specialised plate and winding patterns. The hi–carbon steel construction produces an exceptionally crisp and sensitive response. The strainer features an innovative ratchet system with single–click adjustments that provide 0.083mm increments of wire motion, allowing for ultra–precise micro adjustments while preventing wire loosening during performance.
