Tama Starclassic Walnut Birch 14" x 6.5" Snare Drum (Vermillion Bosse Fonce Fade)

This limited–edition Starclassic snare drum showcases Tama's hybrid shell construction with a rare Bosse Fonce outer ply and black nickel hardware. The 14" x 6.5" shell combines 4 plies of birch with 2 inner plies of American black walnut, wrapped in an exotic hardwood veneer finished in Vermillion Bosse Fonce Fade. At 6mm total thickness, the shell delivers the focused attack of birch with the low–end warmth of walnut, while the dense outer ply adds visual distinction and tonal complexity absent from standard production models.

Die–cast hoops with 10 holes provide rim–shot clarity and consistent tuning across the head. The MLS30ABN strainer and MLS30BBN butt plate offer precise snare tension adjustment, paired with 20–strand Super Sensitive Hi–Carbon snare wires (MS20RL14C) that respond to ghost notes and rimshots with equal sensitivity. Black nickel MSL–SCTBN lugs complement the fade finish while maintaining tuning stability under hard playing. The walnut inner plies contribute midrange depth, while birch ensures the shell cuts through dense stage mixes without requiring excessive tuning tension.
