Tama S.L.P. 6 x 14 Inch G-Kapur Limited Edition Snare Drum, Amber Sunset Fade

The Tama S.L.P. 6 x 14 Inch G–Kapur Limited Edition Snare Drum commands attention with its striking Amber Sunset Fade finish and exceptional sonic character. This remarkable instrument emerges from TAMA’s acclaimed Sound Lab Project (SLP), featuring a distinctive 10mm, 11–ply kapur shell that produces a lively, bright, and projective sound with sharp–attacking crack. Steel Mighty triple–flanged hoops and Super–Sensitive Hi–Carbon snare wires combine to create undeniable stage presence, making this snare particularly suited to live performances and large musical spaces.

The visual appeal matches the sonic excellence, with the limited–edition Amber Sunset Fade finish beautifully complementing a magnificent mappa burl veneer. This hot coal aesthetic creates stunning eye candy that captures audience attention while the drum’s unique tonal qualities cut through any mix with authority and clarity.

TAMA’s Sound Lab Project launched in early 2012 and quickly gained recognition throughout the drumming community. Rather than creating versatile jack–of–all–trades instruments, SLP snare drums celebrate their specific sonic characteristics, with each drum built to different measurements using various materials including maple, steel, brass, and aluminium. This approach has resulted in an accessible line of distinct snare drums, each designed for particular musical applications – from dark and rich tones perfect for rock and metal to dry, snappy sounds ideal for funk and gospel styles.
