Tama LSG1465 SLP Bold Spotted Gum 14 x 6.5 Inch Snare Drum

The Tama LSG1465 SLP Bold Spotted Gum snare drum showcases premium Australian hardwood in a stunning 14 x 6.5 inch configuration that commands attention in any musical setting. This exceptional instrument features a 6.0mm, 9–ply shell constructed entirely from Spotted Gum, a high–density hardwood sourced from Australia’s Oceania region. Known for being even harder than Bubinga, this premium timber produces a distinctly crisp sound with short, dry sustain characteristics that cut through any mix.

The drum’s sonic capabilities are enhanced by carefully selected hardware components that complement the natural wood properties. Steel Mighty Hoops with triple–flanged 2.3mm construction provide a “wetter” tonal quality compared to die–cast alternatives, while the Super Sensitive Hi–Carbon Snare Wire system has been specifically redesigned for superior performance. The innovative snare wire features customised plate shapes and wire coil winding patterns that sit closer to the snare side head, resulting in enhanced sensitivity and brighter, more articulate response.

This limited edition snare drum offers remarkable versatility across its full tuning range, producing everything from dry, solid backbeats to punchy low–end tones with impressive depth. The stunning wood grain finish highlights the natural beauty of the Australian timber, while the complete package provides drummers with precise dynamic control suitable for any musical genre or performance situation.
