Tama LGM146-KMB SLP G-Maple 14x6 Snare - Kona Mappa Burl

The Tama LGM146–KMB SLP G–Maple 14x6 Snare in Kona Mappa Burl Finish brings professional–grade construction and striking visual appeal to drummers seeking exceptional sound quality. Built around an 11mm thick shell featuring 12 plies of maple plus one outer ply of Mappa Burl, this snare drum produces a bright, punchy tone with remarkable volume and sensitivity that cuts through any mix.

The drum’s 2.3mm Steel Mighty Hoops utilise TAMA’s triple flanged design to create a “wetter” sound compared to die–cast alternatives, while the separate low–mass lugs allow the shell to resonate naturally. This combination enhances the drum’s inherent punch and clarity, making it ideal for demanding musical applications.

Fitted with 20 Strand Super Sensitive Hi–Carbon Steel Snare Wire, this snare drum offers enhanced sensitivity and crisp response. The redesigned snare wires feature customised plate shapes and modified wire coil winding patterns that sit closer to the snare side head, resulting in brighter, more articulate sound reproduction. Perfectly suited for Pop, Rock, Hard Rock and other loud musical styles where clarity and projection are essential.
