Tama Imperialstar 22" 5-Piece Drumkit w/ Hardware (Burt Red Mist)

Tama's Imperialstar sits at the intersection of playability and value, designed for drummers stepping up from beginner gear or bedroom players ready for gigging durability. The 22" bass drum configuration delivers projection and presence on stage, while 100% poplar shells tuned with TAMA's precision bearing edges provide the warm, open tone that's defined the brand's sound for decades. This kit arrives complete with Stage Master hardware and an Iron Cobra 200 pedal—components usually reserved for higher–tier builds.

The shell spec reads like a working drummer's wish list: six–ply, 8mm poplar construction on all drums (bass, toms, snare) yields tuning range and sensitivity without sacrificing durability. The Omnisphere tom holder system, refined over 25 years, eliminates shell–penetrating hardware that dampens resonance and allows rapid repositioning during setup. Stage Master double–braced hardware handles road abuse; the 13" round throne seat sits stable on any stage floor. Matching wood hoops on the 22" bass drum add visual cohesion, while the Burnt Red Mist finish photographs clean under stage lights and band lighting rigs.

Gigging musicians and studio engineers benefit from the kit's scalability: individual drums (10", 12", 13" tom toms; 14" and 16" floor toms; 14" and 14" × 6.5" snare options) mean expansions fit seamlessly into the existing hardware ecosystem. Spur brackets lock the bass drum in position, critical for controlled recoil during recorded takes or high–energy live sets.
